Can a air dryer be too big?

Hi folks, first post on here although Ive lurked for quite awhile. I am getting a good deal on a refrigerated air dryer, its a 35 cfm dryer. Im only running a hypertherm 45 on my table so the dryer is alot bigger than it has to be. I am sure it is just fine, but is there such a thing as going too big on a air dryer for some odd reason? Its a 110 single phase unit air dryer. Ive never used a air dryer before but have been meaning to get one for a few years. Thanks in advance, I love the site. Josh

From the air tools requirements perspective (such as an air plasma, an air paint spray gun, and normal pnuematic air tools) the air cannot be too dry. If the refrigerated dryer used more electrical energy than the equipment it was used for....then it would be costly to operate and could be considered too big. Genrally...if it can run on 120 volts....it is not to large!
