HI ALL, PLAYING THE THE POWERMAX TODAY , FIRST TIME REALLY.
I have a photo of a couple of cuts. can anybody tell me whats going wrong apart from not piercing the start where it is supposed to.
The first is a washer at 3 inches and the second is the line speed test.
Cheers for any help.
Oh one more thing, all my files cut back to front, like a mirror image. They look perfect on screen in both cad and torcmate 3 but cut mirrored so the good side is underneath where the dross is. help

Re: POWERMAX 45 CUT PROBLEM
Larry,
I would suggest going to the Torchmate site and take the online tutorials. Your cutting directions are also reversed......plasma is directional and inside cuts should always be counter clockwise, extrnal cuts clockwise. Use the shielded consumables, run at the Hypertherm recommended cut height (no higher) and reduce amperage if needed to stay withing the speed capacity of your machine. The Torchmate software....like with any CAD/CAM type software has a bit of a learning curve before you nail down all of the parameters. You are making progress!
