Ohmic sensor and Mach3

Post by NB Forrest »

On my DIY table I have installed an ohmic sensor and I'm using my floating head switch as a limit switch. It was working wonderfully for several months and one morning I came out to the shop and it wasn't working. When I would touch the torch to the table Mach3 didn't register on the Digitizer light. I ended up putting on a new relay and rewiring it all, new wires and everything. Now Mach3 registers when I touch the torch to the table but doesn't respond and travel to the pierce height. Instead, it continues downward until the limit switch on the floating head triggers. I have active low selected for the probe in Ports and Pins input signals. When it touches ground digitize lights up as it should. Why doesn't Mach3 go to pierce height?

Yes, he is helping me. I am in contact with him. He is actually the one who taught me how to install the ohmic sensor and like I said it was working just fine and now it is not.
