Welcome aboard christo702! What kind of table and plasma cutter did you buy, and what cad/cam software are you using (or learning to use) to create the cut files and g-code for your table? Please feel free to post some photos of your setup.

Re: christo from south africa
hi guys i am in south africa, we manufacture carports for vehicles, i bought this Chinese cnc plasma 3days ago ,and receive some training on it yesterday, its a 200amp machine with a water chiller, very nice looking machine and it cuts well, this machine is only for cutting parts for the carports
to give a better product to my customers, however i will also cut for anyone if there is a need. so yesterday i download a barbeque then we cut it , and last knight we did barbeque on it, the machine come wit its own software, but i aslso have solidworks (still learning from youtube, not easy)
its a LGK-2001GBT. SORRY IF I SOUND DUM BUT HOW DOES ONE SHARE PICS

Hi Christo702 - it is easy to share an image or file. Click on the "Full Editor & Preview" button below, then click on "Attachments", then click on "Add files", then a box will open showing the files on your PC. Click on the file or image you wish to upload and then click "open". Then your file name will appear at the bottom. Click on "Place inline" to put your file or image into your post. You can then click on "Preview" to see what your post will look like. If you are happy with it, then click "Submit".
If you want to upload more than one file at a time, you can hold down the "Ctrl" button on your keyboard and select multiple files or image, then click "open".

I will look forward to seeing some pictures of your new machine, shop setup, and some of the projects you are making. Which version of SolidWorks are you learning to use?christo702 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 2:52 am hi guys i am in south africa, we manufacture carports for vehicles, i bought this Chinese cnc plasma 3days ago ,and receive some training on it yesterday, its a 200amp machine with a water chiller, very nice looking machine and it cuts well, this machine is only for cutting parts for the carports

That bbq grille turned out great! Nice video. What kind of table is that?
It looks like a really nice one.
Also - which version of SolidWorks are you using?

Re: christo from south africa
You are doing a great job, and you are well on your way to being a real asset to the people of your community in S. Africa. Wow! Cutting and cooking on a Bar-b-que only three days after receiving the plasma table? That has to be some sort of record!
I have SolidWorks and Fusion 360. They are both difficult to learn, but perhaps more difficult for a person with a nearly non-functional short term memory. I learn something on te software, and if I don't work with it on a daily basis, the learning disappears, and I have to start all over again.
Good luck with your new machine!
Joe
