Tom - I did notice that control box in his other video. Pretty cool!! Us Plasmacam guys already have that same functionality on our control boxes - which is much more handy than using the keyboard commands.

I have used one like this in the past, not as many functions be very handy. Some software you can custom assign key to different functions.

Yes Tom - these are pretty handy to use. I need to check out the guy's youtube video some more to see exactly what he is doing. I have other tables - Centroid Acorn, Avid cnc mach3, and so on. I always hear about some of the users buying these video game controllers with pendants to run their table without using the pc keyboard. So it must be a pretty hand add-on. With my Avid and Centroid tables, I have a wireless keyboard and that pretty much serves the same purpose.

Old thread but useful.
I use a wireless X-Box controller for $25.00 and use AntiMicro mapper (free) to assign the function to each of the buttons. Launch AntiMicro each time before you open Firecontrol.

Great info on the macro mapper, thanks! I expect anyone with any brand of table could do this with that.
