You will need an Ohmic sensor module for Mach to use the circuit, I use a simple module from eBay, many have used what is called a "Water Switch" These have been hard for find lately. This is what I use, you can get them in 5,12, and 24 volt versions. Simple to wire up and add to Mach or other controller software, as a probe input. You will also need to use a post processor that is setup for the probe action in the G-code this is a G31 command for the Z axis. I can supply you with the circuit wiring (I need to find it on my HD) and a Post Processor if you use SheetCam.

Here is the circuit and a description. I have used this setup on a few table for both Plasma ohmic sensor and bit tip detection on routers works great.
3-d printed a small box for it in the controller cabinet.
