water table and aluminum

Post by drmjr70 »

Hello to everyone
Does anyone using a water table on their cnc plasma table have experience cutting aluminum? If so, have you ever had any problems with the possible dangers of the hydrogen produced from the aluminum? Do you take any special precautions when cutting aluminum? Also, do you use any kind of bladder system or external water storage tank with the water table? What may be some of the pros and cons of a bladder system in the water table vs. an external tank for water storage?

Thanks Dave

I use plastic 55 gallon drums with the lids cut off and drop a sump pump in the table and when im done cleaning I put the sump it the drums and pump back into the table, its quicker and cheaper than draining it. Hope this helps.
