Thanks for the tip David. This will come i handy for me when doing a sample image to show a customer. Often objects or over top of others :Like :Like

You are quite welcome AREA! This stack order also comes into play when doing operations such as difference, where if the objects are in the wrong stack order the result may often disappear.

Thanks David This also give you a visual of how a layered project may appear finished and painted. You cam move thing around or change the layering to see the effect. :Like

You are welcome Tom! That is one of the handy things about Inkscape is the color and high resolution graphics, so perfect for creating a visual representation of the finished and painted parts. I know that some are also using Inkscape to create files for silk screening, so very nice for that application as well.
