Got a circa 1940-1950 fridge and want to make it into an oven. It has what looks to be fiberglass insulation (a nice job at that). Will this be OK or should I rip it all out and put in Rockwool?
Thanks

Re: Old fridge insulation
When I built my oven I used the standard fiberglass sold at the Big Box store, it was the 4" thick stuff and it worked great. I used 55 Gal drums covered with the fiberglass and a metal cover over that. Heating elements from a stove top.
