Hi, I have a Hypertherm 85 and am hoping to make a CNC table soon, and I did not know if they were all fitted out for CNC machine usage?
If not, how do I find out if mine is? If not, can I upgrade it easily to work properly?
Thank you.

they all can be
does it have a CPC on the rear (14 pin circular plastic connector)?
that is your CNC interface to fire the torch. get a transfer signal and a divided voltage output.

There is a 14 pin hole, but only 7 of the holes have an electrical contact (see attached pic)

You can buy the CPC kit from any hypertherm dealer and install it yourself, that's what I did. Comes with instructions, very easy to do.

I am little confused, can some clarify. Does my hypertherm have the CPC already? (pic above) Or do I need it + a 14 pin connector shown in pic?
Thank you.

That's the CPC. Not all of the pins are used.

Great, it is an exact match to the connector in pic (my machine).
Thank you for clarification.

Re: Are all Hypertherm 85 good for CNC?
Some have the CPC port, and some do not. For those without the CPC port when new, Hypertherm offers a CPC upgrade kit. My Hypertherm Powermax 85 did not come with CPC port, and it is not necessary for cnc applications using the hand torch. Since I am using the Duramax hand torch, I do not need the CPC port and instead my torch control cable is hardwired inside the plasma cutter. But for machine torch applications, the CPC port is necessary (for plug & play applications).
