Looking at getting into the plasma cutting business. Scary times right now. Unsure where to begin. I have not bought a table or cutter. I saw the post about the spreadsheet for quoting projects. A bit nervous about pulling the trigger on a new business. Any info on what to do and not do would be greatly appreciated!

first off see what kind of business is in your area, as to work needed and other business that you would compete with. If there is not a big need or to many other companies doing cutting, don't do it. There are some here that do custom work or hobbyist doing it for fun with making some money as a backup or side work and there is a market in your area you may want to do it.

I started off with no intentions of making any money with mine (LOL my plan worked), just joking. I purchased it to cut my own parts for the hot rods I build.
When people heard I had it the work came around after the fact.
Keep in mind that, If you haven't owned or operated one, there's a learning curve that you'll have to contend with.
