I was recently on Sheetcam's website and came across this.
Seems to be a scan program for parts etc.

I tried it once. It's pretty cool. Just didn't put a lot of time into playing with it.

It's very handy for specific usage. It's pretty sensitive/finicky to set up, and requires certain lighting / contrast with the part.
Also, it outputs more of a "point cloud" that still has to be drawn/approximated to a closed/finished vector file. It basically just records hundreds/thousands of coordinate points. You have to connect them into lines, arcs, and other geometry.

I've played with it. Like the others have said, it is finicky to set up, but it will put out a trace. That's as far as I ever got with it, just didn't have the time to pursue any farther.

the right camera can be 1/2 the problem.... the other 1/2 will be making sure the camera is the right way up .....
