How are you finishing the backs of signs?

How are you finishing the backs of signs? Just a coat of clear? Metal oil? Primer? And are you doing the back first or second?

I use a lot of Rust-o-leum rattle can bed liner paint. It has a bit of a texture and hides many sins. Sometimes, I will paint the face of a sign with it (black) and after it dries, I will spray the color I want over top. This hides scratches and gives a bit of texture. Very durable stuff and goes on fairly thin.

I either paint the back the same color as the front, or flat black. Usually just the same color though.

I do what Scratch does and paint the back with semi gloss or flat black. Mainly to stop any rusting.
