Wood stove Question

I would like to make a stove with a secondary combustion chamber above the main fire box, but not really sure what dimensions to use. This a personal stove and have no plans on manufacturing them so I was wondering if any of you guys that build stoves may be willing to share a plan or give some pointers. This would be a free standing stove that would require a 6 inch flu. If you don't want to post any thing on here you can PM or email me.
