Magnetic Holding device

Post by acourtjester »

I just finished a 3D star it has 10 parts to make the star and I was running things through my head as to how to hold the parts to weld them. Then I remembered I bought some magnetic holding devices some time back. I fished them out and they worked great, these came from Strong Hand as a set of 4 holders. http://www.stronghandtools.com/strongha ... padkit.php
here is the post about the 3 D star but the file did not have the internal cuts so I added them in Inkscape I did not want to bend the metal so I made it from 10 parts. http://www.plasmaspider.com/viewtopic.p ... hilit=star

You made a fine job of that Tom!
Handy way to hold the parts, might try one of those.
