Differnt color lines in Sheetcam what do they mean?

Post by t8017e »

Now I got my full version of sheetcam when I import drawings to make posts, I get some red lines, some yellow lines and some blue lines. I need to know what they mean and how to get them all the same I believe red is the default. It seams the posts come out correct when everything is red.

Any Info?

Red is an exterior contour, yellow is an interior (like an inside hole), blue is a rapid movement. (not a cut) White is an open line, as opposed to a "closed" shape. (like a single straight line, or something with lines that aren't joined)

How do you assign what you want. I imported a drawing and one of the cuts is an inside yellow and all the others are red. When I set a cut operation, the green trace lines are one inside and one ouot side. I want them all the same red. So my question is how can you change them in sheetcam.

You can select whether the cut is inside or outside offset in the operation--but that will change ALL of them in the drawing--so if all but one are correct in one drawing, you might need to change that one contour to a different layer. That way it can have it's own operation, separate from the rest of the drawing. (Select Edit contours, then right-click over the desired area -> Move to Layer -> New Layer, type a name for your new layer, then assign a cutting operation to that layer)

I figured it out on the warning sign. There was a small little line attached that wasn't needed.

This file should cut good now.
