What design software do you use?

So I've just purchased a p-cam, I have been using turbo cad, however I am having trouble with messy art drawings when imported to the p-cam, Reading threw this it seems corel is pretty common. I just went to amazon and checked it out, it looks like there is versions from $39 to $950, I am looking for something that I can do light artwork in, as my turbo cad works well for brackets and dimensional items. money is an issue but I don't want to have to buy twice what would be a practicle level of corel to purchase?
