Hello all,
I thought this subject would be wise to share. We had a couple of guys that were operating my table and said they were trained properly and knew the ins and outs of crane work. Well to my disguss and my failure to test their knowledge this is what happened. See pictures below. From that day I go through every employee that comes through the doors and give them in depth training and test their knowledge in the training afterwards, even before they start work. A very expensive lesson learned. The crane dragged the plasma table 14 feet, we were lucky that it dragged straight and not on an angle, damages would have been more excesive if the machine fell off the rail system. This happened about 2 years ago.

Plasmajoe,
What is your main business?
Your table is for sure industrial.
Your plasma cut work is great and the stuff you post here is great.
But with a table this size I am sure you do more than the art you post here.
Just wondering

Bill, yep I let them live. One of them is now laid off but the other is now my main operator. I have spent many hours with him to mold him how I like to have an operator, yah guessed it a miny me .
Shawn the table is industrial and I do cut a shit load of industrial parts for fabrication with it. I get sheets of steel 10'x50' to cut on it. Now that gets to be fun when you have to cut hundreds of parts out of one sheet!!! You should come up and try it, I garantee you the beer will be cold,

Plasmajoe,
That kind of puts things into perspective!
I thought a 4 x 8 sheet was a lot..........I now have been corrected.
So, when I have a bunch of parts to cut out I will think of Canada and say there is a guy up there who is cutting even more
I will share a cold beer with you any day!
