Would anyone have any information as to a basic layout for Contract Cutting Pricing. Considering going this route during our slow time and to be honest not sure where to begin for pricing.
Wondering how I would be able to come up with a Price for as followed
Per Hour of Laser time:
Programming Cost:
Gas Consumption:
Material:
Thank you in Advance Everyone

Re: Laser Contract Cutting Pricing and Startup
Here's what I know for laser cutting in Iowa, I'm sure pricing is different in other parts of the country.
Laser time:Most shops are around $125/hour-with a minimum of 2 hours
Programming Cost:As long as they are supplied a dxf, they don't charge
Gas Consumption:Its figured into the cost/hour
Material:Their cost + 25%
Most shops around here also have the ability to do other processes such as:bending, welding, powder coating or paint. They have a hard time getting work just cutting flat parts-most people want the complete package. One shop that I have cut some parts for me has a 4000 watt laser with an auto loader, so when it comes to large quantities they are pretty hard to beat.
