Have you googled freight rates, or truck shipping. There is a site you can give it the info and it will find a trucking company that will ship and the price. You pick the one you like and they give you a "bill of laden" you take it and the package to the shipping company locally and drop it off. I shipped a bead roller from Fla to Ohio it think it was about $150.

I just received some heavy freight in that was shipped via UPS Freight halfway across the US. It cost me $99.00 for 350 lbs on a pallet. They shipped it Monday and I got it yesterday. UPS called Thursday to set up the delivery. Compared to other freight companies I've dealt with in the past, this was terrific service for a fair price. Might be worth checking into.

You can ship via Greyhound also. If I remember right the package needs to be 30" or under in one dimension to fit in the cargo hold of the bus. I used them once for a fire pit and it was pretty reasonable but you have to take it to the nearest station for drop off and the receiver has to pick up at the nearest stations, although at the other end there is a delivery option with added cost.

We use freightcenter.com, they actually shop around and get you the best rates. We ship out 1-2 pallets per month to washington from arizona and we haven't paid over $150 yet. We used to load up our dually with a load and would drive it up ourselves. PITA!!!
Its funny because the first time we used them we had a quote for UPS freight for over $1200!!! WE ended up booking it with freight center for $148. Funny thing is when the truck showed up at the shop it was UPS Freight! I told the driver are story and he said shipping companies like that get amazing rates.

Normally, SAIA is who has been picking up our loads but it does vary somewhat.

hope i helped,
Mike
