Vector File area calculator

I am looking for a software program that will calculate the surface area of a DXF file. My customers occasionally ask for the weight of a item during the design process. Is this possible in Corel Draw X6 or Alibre Design? I know Alibre Design is capable of that but I have been unsuccessfully in getting the DXF inf a part file.

I know if you use a cad program like AutoCAD or Draftsight it will tell you . . . I'm sure Corel does the same.
