SVG vs. DXF

I Just started saving all my files as SVG instead of DXF. It seems like the files transfer to Sheetcam better with no clipped corners or messed up pieces like I was getting with DXF files occasionally.
Any other benefits or disadvantages? Besides not being able to upload them here.

Good to know. For some reason I didn't think SVG was supported.

My experience lately using Inkscape has proved multiple times that Sheetcam more easily converts .svg files into perfect, usable .tap files, than Inkscape can convert an .svg into .dxf first. So from here on out I'll go that route. The only challenge left for me is manipulating a .dxf file in Inkscape which is not as easy as it sounds.

The DXFTOOL add on is great for exporting DXFs without the said problems. Gives much nicer lines in general. Coreldraws basic DXF export stuffs it up regularly for me, so if I'm using DXF I first check it out in Sheetcam. I don't know how such simple drawings can get so grossly stuffed up.

SVG works great most of the time.

I'm going to just use SVG for everything now, It comes out more true in Sheetcam and it seems to save to smaller file size than DXF.

SVG files are nice but they don't work in AutoCAD . . .

I also have had much better luck with svg than dxf. I use inkscape almost exclusively now.
