Re: First Cuts . . .
Looks good to me, are you piercing on the cut or was there a lead-in?

Re: First Cuts . . .
Need to ck the machine for play or back lash on the motors. Seems like on your lead in if it was straight and at the change of direction there may be a hair of a wobble, hence the slight indentations.. I could be wrong though.
Looks great other wise..

Re: First Cuts . . .
Looks real good, but you should probably be around 325 ipm on 16 gauge. At least thats what my cut charts say for 45 amps with duramax torch on a 1250.

Re: First Cuts . . .
There are two sets of cut charts for the Duramax torch (Powermax65, 85, 105 and available as an upgrade on older Powermax units), one is for regular speeds that can get over 350 ipm on thin materials, and the other chart is for "low speed" with all cuts at 150 ipm or less. The low speed chart specs will produce light dross that scrapes of rather easily.
Height is most important....especially with Finecut's. The book says .06". I find better edge quality at .07" to .075" cut height. If you machine maintains height using an arc voltage setting....adjust the voltage until the physical height is correct.

Re: First Cuts . . .
Were you using exact stop or constant velocity?Looks like you have a lot of over burn in the inside corners like the machine went to the corner did a complete stop then moved to the next point? Maybe running a low setting on the look ahead? It could be due to running really low accell rates But ussually low accell rates will cause the corners to have a angle to them for the first inch or so..Also did you loop the corners or just use lead in-lead outs?Just wondering with the little piece that sticks out on some of the outside corners?Otherwise looks pretty good
