looking for feedback

Post by wilber »

While my wife was at the store talking to her friend a person walks up to her asking about a house sign. I played with her ideas that she drew on paper. Main things she wanted was a fox the words and some cat tails. If you would let me know what you all think and any changes you would make before it is showed to the customer. The sign is going to be roughly 30x40. I was planing on welding some bolts to the back and install the sign on some 1 1/4 square tubing i have in the garage. Almost forgot was going to cut out of 11 gauge.

Thank you for your feedback and help,

William

The 'O' and 'E' in 'Fox Den' are positives, so they don't need the bridging cuts.

Looks real nice - clean work.
Thanks for posting.

I should have thought about it. I started looking for all chances of drop outs and just kept going. I will change that and repost. Thank you

Looks very nice to me. I think your customer will love it.

Design looks good to me. Just be careful when grinding the ends of the finer stuff like the cat tails etc and make sure your pad is oriented so it is grinding in the same direction as the tip of the detailed piece, otherwise it may grab and bend it up and scare you a little. Once you get it ground it should last for a good long while being 11 ga. Good work

Looks GREAT ! ! :D :D :D :D

Did you design from scratch, . . . from a picture and converted to DXF?

Or a combination of things . . . What did you use to drop the numbers in . . .

InkScape? CorelDraw?

I really never imagined the graphics would be my slow down . . .

I guess if I was doing parts my years of AutoCAD experience would help, but this type of stuff it is worthless.

Me and my Dynatorch are slacking over here . . . I'm still struggling with the basics . . .

Most of my time was wasted playing with SigmaNest Lite . . . :x :x :x Me & SheetCAM are getting better acquainted.

Again, you are smoking me . . . :o

Really looks good Wilbur . . . Please post when you cut . . .

started with the paper she handed me.

bought the fox, used a sawbade design where i took out the bird and the saw design and added some land and fox. All the words are the same font. Just had to edit the female text.
