The Powermax65 Fine Cut Slow Speed charts are at around 150 IPM for the 14 ga. thicness range.
The Powermax30 XP Fine Cut shows the same speed for 14 ga, 150 IPM. There is no Slow Speed chart.
My main concern is 1) slowing down the table for better motion control for intricate cuts and 2) less dross.
Is there a "Slow Speed" chart in the works for the Powermax 30XP? Or a way to put the 30XP consumables on a Powermax65?
I have a Powermax65 and I'm more than happy with the edge cut quality when using the "standard speed" charts. There is no dross but the table gyrates at sharp angles and intricate work at higher speeds. When I use the "slow speed" charts for better table control I get dross, as it states in the manual.
So I'm curous as to how a Powermax30XP may improve what I'm trying to do.

Re: Powermax30XP
The Powermax30XP is not designed for mechanized use based on its 35% duty cycle rating, we do not make a machine torch. So we do not provide any mechanized cut charts for this system. That being said...if I had the Powermax30XP on a cnc machine and wanted to cut 14 gauge, I would use the FineCut consumables at about 25 amps....and experiment with speed until I got the best cut quality. I suspect at 25 amps on 14 gauge it would probably be in the 90 to 125 ipm range.
