I have to cut a sign out for a customer, the material is a customer supplied 1/8" thick sawblade. I have settings that I use for regular 1/8" Steel, Can I use the same settings, or do I need to change anything before I cut (The customer only gave me 1 "blank", so I only have 1 shot at this).
Thanks

I used the same settings when I cut knife blades from one and it actually cut better than usual. No dross at all.

Same here. I agree with Allen...I've cut knife blanks from customer-provided saw-blades, as well as some
high-carbon 1041 7awg plate. I used my usual settings with no problems. Like Allen said too, virtually zero dross.

Re: 1/8" Thick Sawblade
Do you have any drop outs in the design you need to cut? When I only have 1 shot at cutting, I try to make a test cut (line or circle) inside a drop out so it won't effect the final look. I do this when i have to cut thick plate that customers supply.
