corel draw page settings help

hi ,can someone help?

when you open corel and open a new page what should it be set at?

preset destination ?
primary color mode?
color settings ?
cmyk profile ?
gray scale ?
rendering intent?

would the corel book be worth buying? is it helpful?

all of those settings are dependent on what type of drawing you are going to do.

There really isn't a right or wrong setting, just what you prefer.

why does some times you export to dxf and the lines show up white or white and red scattered?
this is what I am trying to fix. happens even on black silouettes

tracing mainly clip art silhouette. and want to help when people need something traced

maybe I am doing something wrong.

I import object
convert to bit map
auto trace - clip art- sometimes low quality
save as auto cad 14
check in sheet cam

I am trying to get the lines darker. then they show up red in sheet cam like there suppose to.
would grayscale help?

I think I found the problem I was picking outline trace /low quality image = poor export

I then picked outline trace/clip art = 100% better

does this make sense to anyone ?

I think I am on the right track.
