Practical CNC to CandCNC conversion

Post by jeeplogic83 »

I finally got around to loading it up to my site. Here is a overview of the process, it was actually really easy to do the conversion, the hard part was learning all the new software, but well worth it. the total cost of the whole retrofit was approx $3250.00 this figure includes all soft ware and hardware. actual hardware conversion took about 8 hours of actual work time.
It is a pain to bring all the info in to the forum so here is a link to the page
http://www.priority1signs.com/index.php ... C-retrofit
Hope this helps someone.
The best thing about the conversion is the DTHC actually works. it moves up and down with the material.

Thanks for posting that info. I'm going to save it for when mine takes a dump on me.
I think I'm the oldest 10 year old boy on the forum...

I have a Pratical cnc machine that I bought around the same time that you did. When I purchaced the machine I up graded to the survo motors and controller. my question is why did you replace the controller and motors with CANDCNC. Asking because my mp3000 and mach 3 were tested yesterday and shipped to day.
