Corel X6 and DXF tool standard

Post by M & N Steel CNC »

I just upgraded to X6 and I downloaded the DXF tool standard edition.
When I go to export a DXF Windows shuts corel down.
I have windows 8, any suggestions?

interesting, are you running 64 bit windows 8 ?

some corel macros that work on 32 bit don't work on 64 bit without minor adjustment (to all windows function calls)

here's the details

I think if you install corel X6 32 bit it should work

otherwise certain 32 bit macros have to be updated to run in 64 bit environments

the author might offer a 64 bit version

I unistalled the 64 bit DXF tool and reinstalled the 32bit and it showed it cannot find the corel
suite.
Do you mean this or to actually install a 32 bit CorelDraw?

I meant 32 bit corel draw, I didn't know there was a 64 bit version of dxf tool or why it wouldn't work as expected

if it fixes the problem there is no real drawback to running 32 bit corel in 64 bit windows

but I just assumed you might be running an old 32 bit macro, now I'm not so sure that's the problem

I know 64 bit has been a pain in the you know what compared to good old 32 bit, nothing but trouble with drives and video cards and drivers and legacy software incompatibilities, shut downs, freeze-ups, boot failures, the whole nine yards constantly
