Powermax 1250 question for Jim
I need to replace the O ring in my machine torch. Is this a standard O ring that I can get at the local hardware store or is the Hypertherm part a special material and size? Hardware store would save me a trip to the big city and the welding supply store (if they even had the O ring in stock).

it only seals air, so as long as the o ring is the same dimensions it should work. its only when you deal with chemicals that the material becomes important

Re: Powermax 1250 question for Jim
The Oring is made of a material called "Buna N".....which is designed to hold up through a lot of on/off cycles of the retaining cap...as well as to the relatively high temperature on the torch head. So....make sure the oring can handle haigh temps and a lot of use...and it should work fine.
