Plasma Dudes,
I'm making a mirror frame, basic metal frame with 2 layers of 5.25" leaves on it. Now each layer is finished and sealed.Leaves are done seperately, finished and sealed then glued on with urathane glue.Problem is I'm not happy with the holding power of the glue.Either because glue was put on top of finish or glue was a bad choice? What type of glue should I use? I was also thinking of just making 3 separate layers and using a decorative screws to hold together. Please help!!
Thanks so Much,
Tim

Re: Design Problem
Any way you could post a picture of the part you are having a problem with? What about something like JB Weld or a simular product?

Re: Design Problem
What about an 2 part Epoxy? I have never tried to glue metal down, but I also have access to a spot welder though, which makes things really convenient!

Re: Design Problem
I've used JB weld with good results. I hit the contact areas with a had grinding disk before I gooped them up though. How big was the pieces you glued on...? Is weight just too heavy for the glue maybe?
I think I'm the oldest 10 year old boy on the forum...
