Re: Machine settings for 3/8 plate
I am using 80 amp tip, set @75 amps 90 psi, inside cuts are CCW outside cuts are CW, I have tried 45 to 70 ipm and still getting lots of slag on bottom side of cut. Do you think a 60 amp tip would work better?

Re: Machine settings for 3/8 plate
A 60 amp tip should help to reduce the slag since it will have a smaller orifice. Be sure to keep your amps at 60amps, no higher, and reduce your travel speed.

Hey guy just a question about cutting speed. You guy are saying to cut at 70ipm. I have been doing most of my cutting at anywhere from 2.0 to 3.0. Are we talking about the same thing?????? Also i didn't see any remarks about how to change the direction of the cut.
