At our colloege we are currently utilizing ESAB Columbus cutting software to trasnfer our .dxf files into .cnc files so that the plasma table will burn the files. We recently upgraded the computers and now our software will not work properly and we do not want to spend 3,000 to update the software. Is there a less expecsive software out there that is reptuable and will still convert files into .cnc? Thank you all so much for your help.

Re: Looking for new software. Please Advise
i use a combination of CorelDrawx4 (for drawing parts), sheetcam (for tool pathing) and Mach3 (for running the G-Code on the table).
Im unsure of the asking price for any of these- but im sure a quick google search can answer that.

If you are looking for just something to take your dxf files and create the g-code for the machine to run on then have a look at sheetcam like JJsCustoms suggested. There are three ESAB post files to create the code for you. It is around $170 US.
