What Circle??

I am hoping for some help. For the life of me I cannot get a good circle to cut. I have a torchmate3 thermal dynamics cutmaster81. I have tried and tried to get a clean circle. Tried different materials, speeds up and down, thicknesses, to not avail. I am new to the cutting thing, and hoping to get better. To me?? I think there is a hesitation or pause whent he cut comes back the other direction on the gantry?? If this is the case, what can be done when they are slaved together?

You have something loose, or backlash in the system somewhere. I'd first check all your setscrews to make sure they're tight on the flats of the shafts. You could also narrow it down by just pushing things around when the motors are on and locked, to see where your play exists.
