I recently cut this dxf out on the Plasma table that I can use occasionally. The spacing in the font of 1/16" was too close and it cut all the parts that should have been left out.
My question is will this cut on Plasma CAM or other tables without an issue or is this just too close?
My other question is, will someone be willing to cut this out and mail to me? I will pay for material (12 or 14 ga) and shipping as I cannot get back to the other table for a month. PM me and I will forward you shipping address and payment.

Re: Cut Quality and Accuracy
Thanks, I will try it next time I get access to the table. It may work with the larger gaps.
I have someone cutting the other one for me.

Re: Cut Quality and Accuracy
im kinda new in this, so still learning.
i have almost 6 months exp. but got a problem with the dross. i dont know if its low speed or high speed dross.
i tried different parameters, amperage, cutting speed, pierce heigh etc. but no good results.
btw, i have already cut much more thick materials such as 8 or 10mm with excellent resutls.
but i failed with this 3mm table.
any advice?
tnx a lot

Re: Cut Quality and Accuracy
The heavy dross indicates too much power and cut speed that is way too slow. If you provide more detail about your equipment....we can probably help. What plasma, what cnc machine, what height control. Also what thickness was the part in the picture and what were the cut specs (speed, height, consumable set, power level, etc.)

Re: Cut Quality and Accuracy
I WON'T GO CLOSER THAN 1/8'' AND TRY TO KEEP IT 1/4'' FOR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. AND MOST THINGS I CUT ARE NO THICKER THAN 10 GA. AND ONLY USE FINE CUT TIPS. SMALLER KERF.

Re: Cut Quality and Accuracy
The cut height for most Hypertherm torches is 1/16"....if you cut at 1/8" to 1/4" you will get heavy dross, warpage and poor edge angularity. Height is one of the most important factors for good quality plasma cutting.
