I have run my PM65 for the past 10 years with almost no 0-30 fault codes. For the past 45 days or so I have been getting it every 3-5 minutes. I have searched and read this forum at length, doing everything that has been suggested - new torch, new Hypertherm consumables, correct and clean air, you name it. My question is - Has Hypertherm started doing something different with their consumables to cause this? Is anyone else having the same issue? I am open to any suggestions, it is most aggravating.

There has been no change I'm aware of on my units 65 & 105. Sounds like you have addressed the external possibilities, have you pulled the cover and inspected connections and the board itself?

Did you actually install a new torch to try and solve the issue or did you mean something different by that?

A new torch with new consumables (swirl ring and everything) should not be required however if you did get a new one and still see the error I expect it is an air supply problem.

Do you have a pressure gauge at the air inlet at the back of the plasma cutter?

I do believe the post flow - return to fire has had a delay in it since the syncs came out. The new versions (built April 2nd 2025-newer) have a post flow delay of 5 seconds so it will wait to cool the consumable that allows ultra fast refiring. But before you blame the machine make sure you have enough air volume and pressure. The plasma cutter will wait until the pressure is purged before re-enabling the air valve to push the electrode up. If the electrode doesnt slide up the 0-30 will occur. This can be from timing to the torch on too fast from it shutting off and it can also be caused by a bad electrode, collapsed PVC air line in the torch body or a lack of air pressure and volume. Always feed your hypertherm no more than 135 psi and NO LESS than 100psi

From the manual:

0-30

Torch consumables stuck
This indicates either a
“torch stuck open” or
a “torch stuck closed”
situation.

If the consumables became loose or were removed
while the power supply is ON, turn OFF the power
supply, correct the problem and then turn ON the
power supply to clear this fault.

• If the consumables appear to be installed
correctly, the torch may be damaged. Contact your
Hypertherm distributor or authorized repair facility.
