Amazon torch nozzles A120 machine
Hey guys what brand nozzles work best ? Thermal dynamic brand ? Or what are you having best luck with and what brand if ordered off Amazon ?
I seem to go through quite a few nozzles
Basically $3 a piece off Amazon but are these knock offs any good ?

I have Hypertherm cutters and have great success using the OEM Hypertyerm consumables. I am not familiar with your cutter, but I personally would stay away from the imported knockoffs. Perhaps others have had success with them. I think you can read the Amazon reviews to get some idea of how they are working for others.

Re: Amazon torch nozzles A120 machine
Are you using OEM (Thermal Dynamics) nozzles or aftermarket?
Most manufacturers recommend OEM as they are manufactured to factory specs. Aftermarket could ruin your plasma cutter and if you burn them up frequently, what are you saving.
I had a Hypertherm 45 and always used OEM only and got good use out of them as long as everything was to spec and there was no moisture in the air lines. Moisture will kill consumables faster than anything.

Moisture may be an issue. I have a motorguard filter and an air water seperator. I’ve recently just added a timer automatic drain blowoff as well. I had a ton of water in the tank a few days ago that I drained off when I installed timer, probably 2-3 liters . Water was clean though

I would use the OEM parts and I am with mikeemike73 on the moisture issue. If you see black or grey staines swirling around the shaft of the electrode you need to clean your air up. This is one of the best things you can focus on the improve consumable life in addition to being sure your piercing and cutting at the correct height and speeds.

You most definitely don't want water in your tank. I have a drain valve attached to the bottom of my compressor tank and leave it "cracked" so that it has a continuous small leak that allows any water to escape into a small drain pan. In addition, I use a refrigerated dryer ahead of my plasma cutter. I also use only OEM consumables and have always had great success with my cuts.mikeemike73 wrote: Sun Jan 12, 2025 11:35 am Moisture may be an issue. I have a TD machine for my table and I’ve been using Amazon electrodes and tips for a while now. I haven’t had any problems with them and haven’t noticed a difference in how long they last. I’ll keep buying them.

What did you end up buying? A air dryer will make a world of difference. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have the cleanest, driest air possible. Don;t expect miracle results right away after installing the dryer, you will have contamination all through your plasma cutter, 25 foot torch lead, etc. It will get better and better over time as you use it. Let us know what sort of benefits you are seeing as you continue to cut.

Yes that’s the one. It was $1200 CNd . I hope it solves any issue I’m tired of guessingweldguy wrote: Tue Jan 28, 2025 2:13 pm Is this unit? Looks great and would like to hear what you think of it after some time.

Re: Amazon torch nozzles A120 machine
Maybe for TD they work well. Good to know. For Hypertherm, I have always used OEM as I figured it was not worth the risk of damaging one of my cutters.Scratch wrote: Thu Jan 23, 2025 10:57 am I have a TD machine for my table and I’ve been using Amazon electrodes and tips for a while now. That seems like a really decent deal. Be sure to filter your air prior to the new dryer to be sure the air is free of aw water, particulate, and compressor oil. Please post back with your review after you have used it.mikeemike73 wrote: Tue Jan 28, 2025 3:12 pmYes that’s the one. It was $1200 CNd . So far this air drier seems to be good. I’ve had no spotty hesitation in starting the torch in am now . Haven’t use it a lot but air most certainly seems dryweldguy wrote: Wed Jan 29, 2025 11:20 amThat seems like a really decent deal.
