Hobby Down Draft CNC Plasma System

Post by Overhaulin »

Newbie here. Does anyone make a downdraft CNC system that fits in the hobby budget (under 10K). I've researched but haven't found one yet so I joined this site here what more experienced fabricators might recommend. I am sure I could modify a wet table, but I am curious if there is a currently an affordable system already available. Thanks in advance for any help.

You likley won't find a table with a downdraft system for under 10k but that's no big deal. You could get into any table of your choice that's under 10k and enclose the sides, add a fan to the back of it, and duct it out your shop on your own really easily.

Your welcome and I think downdraft is a good choice for hobbiests. It works very well, no mess, no maintainence, no cleanup, no disposing of chemicals. If you were a shop cutting all day long a water table makes sense but I use a downdraft and love it.
