Are you going to use the engraver to put the hatch pattern onto the text? This can be done in DesignEdge.

You are quite welcome! Let me know if you have any questions about using Inkscape to automatically create your hatch patterns.

What do you mean by "how to make a hatch pattern join inside" in DesignEdge? I am unclear on what you want to do.

That is great, but I thought your question was, “how do you hash pattern into text, using DesignEdge software?“

Likely easier to do the hatch pattern in Inkscape and open in DesignEdge unless you have a trick up your sleeve Joe......

Yes - that is exactly what the OP was looking to do. He could not find a hatch pattern tool in Design Edge, so had been messing around with Inkscape - which does have several hatch pattern tools. I suspect his problem was that he may not have been converting his text to paths before saving to import to Design Edge. I believe that I was able to put him on the right path and he can now achieve his goal.

You must do a DOUBLE outline of the letter in order to set such a design into the interior. I did a video on this ... Looking for it .... Ah! Found it!

You can also do the offsetting in Inkscape before you save as dxf for import to Design Edge. Then when you open with Design Edge, simply create your cut paths for engraving and cutting.
