Starfire / Ontime AVC168

Post by RobertN93 »

Hi, not my field of work plasmacutting or metal working but im connecting a hypertherm 1850 to an AVC1850 and if i have understood correctly; start is easy, 3 and 4 on the 1850 to J2, 5 and 6 on the AVC168.

But the thing im unsure about, on the 1850, J15 and J16 goes to J1 on the voltage divider board on the AVC168 for height control?

And then from the 1850, where do i put the XFER signal?

Are you able to attach the 1850 manual showing J15, J16, etc. In addition the manual for your THC would be great.

Some equipment does not use the XFER signal, would like to see these manuals if you could.

It looks to me as though J15 and J16 will be connected to J4 on the separate Arc Voltage divider board as the arc voltage RAW input. It is divided down to a lower voltage and comes out J1 on the same board which will be connected to the main controllers divided voltage input at J2 terminal 1 and 2.
