We are looking for a 2D drawing software to work with our PlasmaCam. We use CorelDraw for our artwork and Alibre Design for our 3D drawing but we need a program for doing simple things like brackets and gussets. What are some good and economical programs out there.
Thanks

Re: 2D Drawing Software
Why do you need third party software....you've got Plasmacam so, I'm assuming you've also got Plasmacam software.
If so, I doubt there's anything simpler to use.

Your right about the simple part. So simple it doesn't work. A lot of the stuff in the manual doesn't work, like some of the snaps and stuff like that.

I like Draftsight. It feels and operates like AutoCAD, and it's free.

Re: 2D Drawing Software
Like Brian said.....I've also been using Plasmacam software for many years and, never had any problems.
Sure, the original manual may have left a bit to be desired but, the software works really well for any 2D design.
Like Plasmaburn, I also use Draftsight, mainly for converting customers dwg files.
I also have a host of other software however, since upgrading to Design Edge, I use third party software less and less.
