pine forest font

Good Morning

Does anyone have a font called pine forest that works with plasma cam machines? I downloaded 4 now and none of them seem to work with my machine. I won't come up on my display. can anyone help me please?

It may be the format of the font file, some software will not open other brands or file format. The standard windows font is in a .TTF format, what is the extension of the fonts you are trying to use??

I have the font in my computer but it doesn't seem to work in my program.... designedge

Well at least you know where the problem is, maybe Joe can comment he is a Designedge expert.

Just an idea as a workaround: you could type your desired text in Inkscape using the pine forest font; convert text to path; export as DXF (R12 version); import to DesignEdge.

Lots of work, I know. But maybe it could get you out of a pinch.

I know from experience that some software won't recognize fonts imported from OTF files, only recognizing TTF. Zero experience with DesignEdge, so no idea if that applies here.

DesignEdge does not automatically use every font on your PC unless you check the WINDOWS and DESIGNEDGE and CUSTOM selections in the TEXT window. You have to install a font. You cannot just drag it onto your hard drive. so I don't know what your situation is, but I suspect the font you want to use in DesignEdge is not where the software can find it.

Post the font here, or include a link to the exact font you want to use, and I will load it onto my PC for a test.

No problem here. The font is SOLD, but it is available for personal use (read: not for profit) as a download that installs into DesignEdge with no problems.
