Hanging sign eyelets

Post by Pyro1983 »

Perhaps I'm over thinking this, BUT... we have a request for a sign with eyelets on top to be able to hang via chains. My fear is that a few years of swinging may rub through the eyelets of the sign itself. Is there anything out there that can be purchased that would maybe bolt tight to the sign and have another attaching point above? This way the "wear" point would be replaceable.. right now I'm just thinking of bolting on some (homemade) eyelets maybe made from slightly thicker steel.

Weld the last chain link on each side directly to the sign. The links will outlive you.
