This is a video I found while looking for things for my laser project which shows techniques that I'm sure can be used with Inkscape for projects.
Toward the end is where he show how to add an Eagle head into a flag which is why I am posting it.

Thanks for sharing this Tom! I'm still thinking about getting one of those lasers to mount to my diy table running Arduino/GRBL that we talked about a while back. And it's always good to learn some new techniques.

I have been playing with the speed and power setting with the add on laser module on my table, here are a few images. These are on white ceramic tile sprayed with white paint. It produces a permanent etching of the tile.
