All,
Been working on an intricate design to be cut in 22 ga. stainless sheet metal
my first attempts have yielded good cut quality, but am having problems with warpage before the design is complete preventing any chance of finishing the piece.
I have tried clamps to alleviate this to no avail.
My thoughts have progressed to making a jig from which I would tackweld the sheetmetal too and then clamp the jig to the table slats.
Any thoughts here would be helpful..
Also many thanks to jmersereau for his turkey design shared with me to work with...
Thanks Larry

Re: 22 ga Stainless Warpage
Are you moving your cuts around to try and spread the heat out? Maybe also try raising your water level so it can help quench the material a little better.

In addition to moving your cuts around the piece, you might also try stopping/pausing after each group of cuts and spraying/misting some water onto the part to cool it. Then when it is sufficiently cool to the touch, proceed to cut the next group or cutouts.
