Name of Plasmacam Legacy Software?

Hi All,

New to the community, but glad to find such a helpful forum.

I've recently purchased a used DHC, which included the table and ancient Gateway tower which I was told had the software installed. Unfortunately the motherboard is fried (there is a layer of dust thicker than a wool winter coat on EVERYTHING inside the case), and will not operate. I was able to pull the harddrive and access the saved files, but nothing obviously stuck out as the Plasmacam software.

So, to anybody running the legacy software (not DesignEdge) - what is the name of the software?

I'm hoping its on here; otherwise I will have to go back to the seller for another conversation, or pony-up the $2k for the DesignEdge upgrade.

It should have come with the install disk CD. I have the newer Design Edge version on my pc, but this is what it looks like.

Dave - I most heartily agree! Well worth the investment in the Design Edge software, particularly if you get the some of the Advanced upgrades.

Do you know if the software upgrade to design edge is just software on the computer, or is there an update that has to be loaded onto the controller?

There is a software only upgrade for the DHC - It does not require any changes to the controller. $2k

There is also a software/hardware upgrade available that replaces the controller, carriage, Z motor, and brings the table to the equivalent of a new, current model table. This upgrade is $7k.
