Re: Arcdroid Plasma Robot
At their introductory price of around $2300, this doesn't really seem too expensive for what it can do. I like the auto tracing feature, and it would certainly be very portable. The fact that it can trace and cut a part without needing to be connected to a pc could be a big plus for some applications. If they ever get it into production, I think they will sell a bunch of them. The closest thing I know of to this is the Go Torch, but it can't do the auto tracing.

I agree 100%. Langmuir has some great tutorial videos on Fusion 360 for plasma cutting. The learning curve is short, and you will have much more capability and flexibility with the Crossfire Pro than the arcdroid - which seems like more of a novelty at this point. All Cut Up wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 9:17 pm Well Thanks for all the input .. CAD is not hard, it helps if you get the big picture, then how they go about sizing and location thing. Big help for me was realizing they use the X and Y coordinates for locations and you can adjust the size anytime after you make a shape. Pick a program and watch YouTube videos to learn how things are done. There are free one out there, of ones you can try of 30 days free.
