I am running a plasmacam with a TD52 with shielded consumables. I have tried every amp setting and cut speed and this the best I could get 16g to cut.
75 ipm
Cut Height .187
40 Amps & 40a tip
Also there was enough heat I guess it caused the letter M to melt some.
Is expecting better results than this unrealistic?

Have you done a line speed test?

Got cutting better now. Settings are:
16g steel
40amps
40a tip
.075 cut height
165ipm
Still wish I could get better quality on the details, like letters. I'll post some pics tomorrow.
