ARC radius error too large

I have been running test cuts on my table just from the shape library and the sample from baileigh industrial, and they have run great with no problem. Today I am trying to run a new part (the code was generated through BobCAD ,the software that care with the machine), and I keep getting an "ARC radius error too large: 0.0 NO" code. Have not been able to find any solutions or help thus far, Does anyone have any info that will help??

I am running a Baileigh Industrial 48-AH-W plasma table with a Thermal Dynamics A80 plasma machine

I did NOT write this code, I know virtually nothing about code. It was generated by bobcad.

In bobcad, select the “cam” tab, select “current settings”, under “machine parameters”, Make: Baileigh_Plasma_Fangling_Vxx (should read something like that)

Also, just a little bobcad tip. When you go into cam, right click “stock”, then select stock wizard. This highlights the part you are working on if there is only one part in your dxf file. If you have multiple parts in your dxf file and you select stock wizard, this now highlights every part in that file and will cut them at whatever distance you have them apart in your cad drawing. Does that make sense? The reason I mention it is because I see that your screen has that blueish green color on more than just your part you are trying to cut. That means something else has been selected to cut as well. So manually highlight that part if it is all you want to cut.

We have a Baileigh 4x4 table at work and I'm not a big fan of it. If you are cutting the same material and thickness a lot its not bad but if you are constantly cutting different thicknesses and different types of metals it can get annoying changing the settings. I have attached a word document that I made for the guys at work for using bobcad and the baileigh machine to guide them through the entire process from cad to cam to using the machine. Maybe it can help you some and hopefully save you some internet searching time. The instructions are for bobcad v31 so v32 might have a few changes

I fixed the highlighted part in stock wizard, that didn't make a difference. Under "current settings", I am trying to run BC_3x_Plasma. There is nothing under make relatively close to "Baileigh_Plasma_Fangling_Vxx". I also changed my "tool diameter" to .06 because I noticed that it was .07, that didn't do anything either.

Yes, that is the wrong post processor. At the bottom of page 24 in your operators manual it tells you that you need to download the “Baileigh plasma fangling post” from the bobcad/cam website. There should be a “download” section on the bobcad website, under that it should say “post processors”. If you can’t find it I would contact bobcad. I might still have it saved for v31. If I do I will post it here.

Your tool diameter is the kerf width on your cut charts. The literature that I attached is based on the cutting that we do at my work. The plates we cut don’t have to be 100% accurate so we just leave the kerf width at the same number at all times. We’re just cutting base plates for pipe stands and other miscellaneous plates for our use. If you want accurate cuts, use the numbers on the cut charts

I installed the correct post processor and that fixed it, allowing me to run my design. Now the cutter is making 2 passes on each cut, I only have profile finish set in my current operations and don't see anywhere else in the settings to correct the 2 pass issue. Any ideas?

Something is incorrect in your cam setup. When you go through the “mill 2 axis” settings, check the “parameters” tab, make sure that the depth is “single step” and the number of cuts is “1”
