Re: Help needed
Assuming your file was drawn in metric (mm), the overall height is about 25 inches. What size are you planning to cut it? The overall size and kerf width will dictate what detail can be produced. What material thickness are you using?

Re: Help needed
OK. So about 24" tall. Which features are you willing to leave out?

Re: Help needed
OK. Laser vs. plasma makes a huge difference (laser more precise with less heat and very narrow kerf). You do realize that you have two separate parts. Here is the outer perimeter of the cut.

Re: Help needed
Do you want to connect the upper and lower parts for a single piece?

Re: Help needed
He could also do some laser engraving for some of the details. I have this done with some of my parts by the local cnc laser shop. They can very the pulse width and power to create different effects with the "engraving". You would need to specify to your programmer which paths would receive this treatment.

Re: Help needed
Your original dxf file had very many intersections, which could have also potentially contributed to your problems cutting. I have cleaned up your file and eliminated all intersections, which may also help. I will submit the new file after we decide on the editing format to eliminate some of the details you referred to.

Re: Help needed
Decide if you want any of the cut paths laser etched instead of cut, then tell me exactly which of the other cut paths (if any) you want deleted. As it is 3:15AM in Tucson, Arizona, USA - and I am about ready to call it a night, I will get back with you tomorrow (about 12-15 hours from now) to respond and edit your file.

Nothing can be etched as it needs to be painted after. All the lines in the scroll can be deleted. All the detail in the rope around the anchor can be deleted. The detail at the bottom of the crown also.
